Aro/Ace Poetry
Anthology

The Aro/Ace  Poetry Anthology is a project I am undertaking, one I hope to make a yearly publication, with poetry and illustrations gathered from self-identifying aromantics and asexuals.

Aims:

The aims of  the publication is to promote awareness of the aromantic and asexual spectrums. To encourage artists to make use of their lived experiences and subsequent creativity in all of its forms to contribute to a collective work. A work that will include a short bio for each artist and their respective social links of their choosing. To give these artists a platform, a voice, a connection to one another and bring them attention in addition to their creativity, perspective and experiences. Also to provide them a published piece of work they can hold in their hands, as I found holding my first self-published anthology was a very personal and emotional moment.

Finances:

The publication is sold via Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) in both paperback and potentially e-book form. The selling price includes the KDP printing costs for the publication, with additional revenue to be donated to The Asexual Visibility and Education Network (AVEN) for the duration of this publication's sale.

Terms:

All poetry and illustrations submitted must be the original property of the person submitting, by submitting the use has been permitted for this publication but ownership unequivocally lies with the original artist/poet. So works of art can be published elsewhere, but the contributor consents to the use of their work in this publication for the duration of its publication in the yearly issue submitted to. With the submission there will need to be formed a contract which agrees to the terms (also outlined here) merely for accountability purposes to ensure clear agreements and enshrining the contributors' ownership of their work in totality in addition to the conditions of publication requiring details of the artists to be credited in this publication (unless agreed otherwise).

Any questions about any of the terms, process or details, then please submit these via email to beautyinnormalcy@gmail.com
